Horticulture
  Kolar District is one of the important Horticulture district in the Karnataka. The Horticulture crops are cultivated in an area of 101639 hectare. Mango, Banana, Papaya, Tomato, Potato, Rose and Marigold are the important crops grown in the district. The Deputy Director of Horticulture (Zilla panchayat) Kolar is the nodal officer for the promotion of Horticulture activities in the District.
